Puppy Head-Start Program (On Going Sessions)
These Private In-Home, hands-on sessions are designed to give new puppy owners the head start they need to raise their pups to be good loving companions. Our in-home class is customized for puppies who are 7 weeks to 11 weeks of age. Sessions are in your home, 1 hour per week for 4 to 5 weeks depending on the puppy's age at the time of arrival in his new home.
Topics covered will include the basic equipment needed, housebreaking, crate training, nipping and biting, chewing, leash manners, housemanners, and early socialization.
Your pup's first month in your home is the most crucial development period of their life. This short, make-or-break pretty much determines whether your puppy will develop into a well-mannered and good natured companion that will bring joy to your life for many years to come, or whether your puppy will develop numerous, predictable behaviour problems and grow up to be fearful and unfriendly. Your puppy stands at the crossroads and the course of your puppy's development and future quality of life is entirely in your hands.
Let us join you in your home for a Head-Start in making your puppy the best dog you'll ever own.
Puppy Class (Kindergarten)
This class is for puppies who are 8 weeks (second set of shots required) - 17 weeks at the start of class. Class will introduce the basic obedience commands - sit, down, stay, come, and heel, leave it, etc - as well as address good dog manners concerning jumping, mouthing, barking etc. There will be plenty of playtime at the start of each class to help puppies learn to play in a safe, fun environment.
Class meets weekly for 7 weeks, one hour sessions. Puppy Class requires advance registration essential to guarantee a space. Click on the link to view our Next Available Puppy Class.
Puppy Parties
A fun time to socialize and train your puppy. Our puppy parties are a working play group, where we combine learning good manners with appropriate and supervised playtime with other puppies. Come to practice with your dog and socialize them with other puppies.
Remember: every puppy needs to meet 100 people and play with 100 other dogs before they reach 20 weeks of age. Get your pup out there for a rollicking good time!
